Workout #38 (swim and missed run)

Today I went to the Vancouver Aquatic Centre for my swim. I am much slower in a 50 m pool – it’s amazing how much speed I get from pushing off the ends of the lane. I basically had to do 100m all out, then add 20 seconds to that time and do 10x100m, completing each 100m in that time. It was much harder than I anticipated. I thought for sure I would have time to rest at the end of each 100m, but I would pop up, and realize I had to go again! I’ll admit, I didn’t make it all the way through. I stopped twice for 15 seconds because it was just too hard.

I was supposed to round out the day with a 25 minute run, but I skipped it because my mom threw my dad and I a birthday party. I had strawberry shortcake, and I am not sad I missed the run.
