Workout #127 (pace work)

Yesterday I did some run pace work, doing intervals at my 10km and 5km pace, interspersed with short walking stints. I finished with two 6-minute intervals at my 5km race pace. It was challenging as I haven’t done much 5km pace training since the sprint triathlon in Kingston at the end of May. Still, I can tell how much my running has improved since the start of training in January in that it didn’t faze me physically or mentally to have to run so fast again.

As I was running, I thought about the Kelowna triathlon three weeks away and what my goals will be. I think I’m going to try to break 50 minutes on the run.
