Hi! I’m Tina. I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I am 36 years old, married, with two kids under six. After having two kids (and no more, thanks!), I decided that I would get back my previous level of fitness by training for triathlons, something I had been meaning to do for a decade.

I started this blog in January 2010 to track my progress. In 2010, I completed four triathlons and learned a lot about the sport. Before having kids, I was a fit recreational athlete, but the training I did in 2010 made me feel for the first time like I was strong and athletic, not just fit. I also got the triathlon bug and set myself some bigger ā€“ but still realistic ā€“ goals.

This blog will continue to be a log of my efforts towards achieving my fitness and triathlon goals. Some posts will be a literal record of my workouts (boring!), some will be links to interesting articles, and others will contain musings and other thoughts that cross my mind as I proceed.

  3. Wow! I am about a month away from 39 years old, two kids, and I have been wanting to do a triathlon for oh, just about my whole life! So glad I stumbled upon your blog. I look forward to seeing your progress and with any luck it will give me the nudge I so desperately need right now. Nice work, Tina!
