Triathlon Training Goals 2012
Target races:
- Delta Triathlon, April 21
- Penticton or Squamish Olympic distance, July 15
- Kelowna Apple, August 19
- GranFondo Whistler, September 8 (this is for fun)
Specific goals:
- A top 3 triathlon finish in my age category (dare I aspire for #1?).
- Achieve a personal best: faster than 2:36:46 for an Olympic distance triathlon.
- Get faster on the bike: faster than 1:15:47 in an Olympic distance race.
- Sub-46-minute 10km in a triathlon in 2012.
- Sub-45-minute 10km (not in a triathlon).
General goals:
- Have fun.
- Consistent core strength training to supplement triathlon training (2-3x/week)
- Rest when I need to.
- Maintain perspective when life/training hiccups inevitably appear.
